BO in the Air at the DNC Convention

When the Democrats decided on the site of their Convention, I wonder if they chose Denver for it “Mile High”. Maybe they figured the air was clear enough so nobody would notice the BO. 

Up until 1976 I was a loyal Democrat, now I consider myself a “Jimmy Carter Republican” since he continued the tradition of listen to what I say, but do not expect me to believe my own words. 

Maybe I should not have been surprised when my then 11 year-old son once asked me about something he read in the history books. He asked how come the Democrats were in-favor of Slavery.  He then also said, “Dad, wasn’t Abe Lincoln a Republican and he protected and freed the slaves?’. When I told him yes, he said then why do Democrats now blame all of the un-justices on minorities on Republicans when they are the ones who caused them”.  

I did not want to say to him that Democrats are liars, so all I said was I guess something stinks. He asked, “you mean like BO?” 

While Bill Clinton was President, the Democrats were always yelling and screaming about how, regardless of Bill Clinton’s “I did not have sex with that woman…” (maybe he was thinking about another woman at the time) that all American’s must respect the office of President of the United States. Guess that was then and this is now. 

I can understand why Michelle Obama said she was not proud of her country. She was talking about the “Democrats version” of out Country. But that depends on was that then or was that now (I can see BO and John Kerry both wearing their flip-flops going wind-surfing and surfboarding together)…I can guarantee you that even when John McCain’s plane was shot down on October 26, 1967, and no time or there after, did his mom or wife ever say they were not proud of their country.  

Remember when GWB picked Dick Cheney to be his running mate and the Democrats lambasted him and the GOP for picking someone because of his Foreign Policy experience since GWB admitted not having as much as he liked? Sounds very similar to why BO picked Joe Biden. Guess that was then as this is now. Something stinks here. 

Oh, I forgot, is BO the Democrat’s nominee? I am not sure, but shouldn’t he wait until “all the votes are counted” (that was then and this is now”) before picking his running mate. Maybe if the votes from those ½ people in Florida and Michigan are not counted he will become the nominee.  I have never been to Michigan but have been to Florida many times and do not recall seeing any ½ people. I wonder if the First Responders in those states only risk their lives half as much. Do the soldiers from those two states only risk their lives half as much? If your vote only counts half as much, do you get to pay only half your taxes? Weren’t the Democrats always saying how every vote must be counted? Something stinks here. 

I remember a quote President Abraham Lincoln made in 1863 “Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hanged”. Guess that was then, and unfortunately not now.

Remember that photo of Jane Fonda? Barack Obama (BO) might not as I believe that was around the time he said he tried Cocaine. I am not sure if Senator John McCain remembers that photo, as I believe he was tied up learning about the foreign policy of North Vietnam and enjoying their culinary delights. I believe that was the about the same time BO was surfing in Hawaii. 

About Senator McCain, I have two sons in the Army, one who is in Iraq and one who was there earlier. It scares me every single day that BO could become President. I know Senator McCain would “leave no man behind”, just as he would not leave the horrors of the Hanoi Hilton before every man who was captured before him left first. I am not sure if BO waited in line to “catch a wave” with his surfboard in Hawaii, but I doubt it. 

I have three photos in my wallet that I treasure. One of each of my two sons in uniform and right next to them a photo of myself with Senator McCain. To me he is watching over them and standing shoulder to shoulder with them already. 

I do not know about you, but I believe something stinks in Denver, and it is the BO.
